The Organising Committee of the International Film Festival and Awards of Macao has marketed the SAR at the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival, the Tourism Bureau of Macao reports.
The bureau says the Macao team organised a cocktail event at The Crowne Plaza Shanghai Hotel as a promotion of this December’s film awards and festival.
An agreement signed in Shanghai will see greater cooperation between the two festivals that may include exchanging films and investment projects.
The Tourism Bureau’s deputy director Cecilia Tse said the agreement would help promote exchanges between both film industries, take Macao’s investment opportunities to Mainland China and create more prospects for the industry.
Shanghai International Film and TV Festivals deputy general manager Wang Ye said the agreement would “create a system that encompasses the professionals, films and capital of both places” and promote cross-border interactions.
