Brazil is preparing a programme of incentives that encourage private-sector investment in municipal and state infrastructure projects, the news agency Agência Brasil reports.

Minister of Planning, Development and Management Dyogo Oliveira announced the goal was to encourage privatisation and operating concessions to private companies.

The report says the programme will offer technical assistance to municipal-level authorities.
