Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has opened its first retail outlet in Portugal, the newspaper Oje reported.
According to the article, Huawei’s shop was launched this week. It is located in Colombo, one of Lisbon’s most popular shopping centres. Store operations are managed through a partnership between Huawei and Phone House.
“We want to be closer to consumers, by offering the best user experience, [and best] sales and technical support to all our clients,” said Huawei Portugal’s Country Director, Pedro Ferreira, as quoted by Oje.
Mr Ferreira added the shop was “crucial to satisfy growing demand for Huawei products”.
In 2015, Huawei shipped 108 million smartphones worldwide, up by 44 percent from a year earlier, news agency Reuters has reported.
