The Minister of State for Economic Coordination of Angola José de Lima Massano, who was speaking on the 28th of July at the opening of the Angola-China Business Forum (FONAC), said that he wants more investment from China in food production, housing, the manufacturing industry and commerce.
The Chinese ambassador to Angola, Gong Tao, noted that, in recent years, coffee, beer, granite and other specialties from Angola have increasingly appeared on the Chinese market, noting that Chinese products circulating in the Angolan market, such as vehicles and cell phones, gain more attention.
"The China-Angola investment cooperation helps Angola's economic diversification. The number of Chinese companies in Angola exceeded 400 and the stock of investment exceeded US$24 billion. In the area of agriculture, companies have invested in and operated several farms, successfully experimenting with the planting of wine-growing sorghum that has allowed them to achieve an abundant harvest of high-yielding hybrid rice," he said.
