On the 31st of July, the Chengdu Electronics and Information Technology Industry Conference took place in São Paulo. The event was organized by the Chengdu Electronics and Information Technology Industry Association.

Jia Xiaoqin, General Secretary of Chengdu Electronics and Information Technology Industry Association, spoke about Chengdu city's electronics and IT industry, opportunities and investment environment to a mixed audience of Chinese and Brazilian business representatives.

According to Jia, to accelerate business and cultural exchanges between the countries, in 2022, Brazil and China signed an agreement to establish a Brazilian consulate in Chengdu. The Central Bank of Brazil and the People's Bank of China signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the exchange of Chinese currency and thus facilitate commercial exchanges between the two countries.
