Angola’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce met in Luanda on 25 August with a delegation from China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC Africa), which specialises in inspection, certification, testing and compliance services, to examine proposals related to modernising the industrial sector.

The meeting between Rui Miguêns de Oliveira, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and the Chinese delegation, led by CCIC Africa’s director-general, focused on strategic areas such as laboratories, the recognition of standards, digital inspection, low-carbon projects, the training of local technicians and industrial investment.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the co-operation aims to turn these opportunities into concrete actions aligned with the priorities of the Angolan Government, thereby strengthening domestic production and helping to develop a more modern, sustainable and competitive industry.

The transfer of knowledge and technology is one of the partnership’s priorities, with a view to strengthening national capabilities and generating greater added value in Angola’s economy.
