On December 6, Goldwind, a Chinese multinational and one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers in the world, announced the completion of production of the first nacelle manufactured at its industrial factory in Camaçari, Bahia. The component, which meets the requirements of the BNDES FINAME program, was completed in record time, marking a significant moment for the energy transition in Brazil.
The information was announced by Goldwind's vice-president in Brazil, Roberto Veiga, and the factory's manager, Maurício Froner, during a visit to the Bahia Economic Development Secretariat (SDE). For Secretary of SDE, Angelo Almeida, the production symbolizes the state's strategic role in generating renewable energy.
Almeida pointed out that the energy transition impulse economic and social development, as well as generating jobs and promoting inclusion in less favored regions, such as the semi-arid region of Bahia.
