Drone imports in Brazil reached US$16 million in the first five months of 2024, a significant increase of 24.1% compared to the same period last year. In terms of product units, this growth was 115%.
The study shows that China has emerged as the largest drone exporter to Brazil. In the first months of 2024, 96% of the total value imported came from Chinese manufacturers, while in 2023, the figure corresponded to 64%.
The increase in imports of drone equipment indicates a trend of expansion in the Brazilian market. Drones are impacting Brazilian sectors such as agriculture, security, media and entertainment, offering opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
After a decade of efforts, China's robotics industry has entered a phase of high-quality development. Today, China has become the largest market and producer of industrial robots in the world, contributing to the development of Brazil and other countries around the world.
