Angolan Commerce Minister Joffre Van-Dúnem Júnior has praised one of the largest Chinese retailing emporiums in Luanda, Cidade da China, for creating many jobs for young Angolans just entering the labour market, Angop reports.

The Angolan news agency says the minister did so at the opening yesterday of the first Cidade da China Furniture Fair, which is being held until November 24.

The report quotes Cidade de China Chairman Jack Huang as saying experienced foreign investors can help diversify the Angolan economy.

Mr Huang said his company intends to distribute Angolan-made goods all over the country.

Cidade de China will hold in due course fairs focussing on the sale of clothes, household appliances and electronics.

Cidade da China, which includes 400 retail outlets, is owned by Hua Dragão Comércio Geral Su Lda, which was founded in 2014, Angop says.
