A Chinese diplomat in Brasilia says his country wants more imports from Brazil, so Brazilian exporters should attend the China International Import Expo in Shanghai this year, Agência Brasil reports.

“We want to import high-quality technological products, car parts and many other industrial and aerospace products,” the news agency quotes the diplomat in charge of economic matters for the Chinese Embassy in Brasilia, Song Yang, as saying.

“All Brazil has to do is participate in the International Import Expo and show its products,” Mr Song said. “Without knowing the Brazilian products, the Chinese cannot buy more of them.”

The first China International Import Expo will be held from November 5 to November 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai.
