A cargo ship departed a container port in Rio de Janeiro on September 15, carrying goods from Brazil, Argentina and other countries bound for Europe, successfully marking the launch of the first "Europe-East South America" shipping route operated by COSCO Shipping Lines.
"Europe-East of South America" has a capacity of 3000 TEUs per ship, focusing on South American countries such as Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, as well as the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal, in Europe, in order to better promote economic and commercial exchanges and guarantee the stability of the supply chain.
On the same day, COSCO Shipping also launched its first land channel service in Brazil. This internal corridor covers supply chain nodes such as railway yards, trailers, empty container yards and internal bonded warehouses in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.
