The 20th China-ASEAN Expo invited Timor-Leste for the first time, as the organization's observer country, to participate in related activities.
In Area B2 of the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangxi, Timor-Leste's stand displayed its handicrafts and traditional musical instruments, as well as agricultural products such as coffee and rice.
In May this year, the 42nd Asean Summit, held in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia, adopted a roadmap for Timor-Leste to become an official member of the bloc. Timor-Leste expressed its intention to accelerate the accession process.
As an important cooperation platform between China and Asean, the Expo will continue to play its role in promoting the comprehensive partnership between China and Timor-Leste, based on good neighborliness, mutual trust and benefit.
