Trade between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries hit US$19.68 billion in the first two months of 2014, up by 13.51 percent from a year earlier, according to data from the Chinese General Administration of Customs.

Chinese imports from Portuguese-speaking countries were up 16.97 percent year-on-year in the first two months of the year, reaching US$12.86 billion. China sold goods and services to Portuguese-speaking Countries worth US$6.82 billion during the period, up by 7.48 percent from a year earlier.

Total trade value for the month of February reached US$8.28 billion, down by 27.26 percent from the previous month.

The value of China’s imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries fell by 12.17 percent month-on-month to US$6.01 billion in February, while exports to those countries reached US$2.27 billion, down by 49.99 percent from the previous month.
