On May 7, Hervelter de Mattos, the new representative of Brazil of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, assumed his office, replacing his predecessor, Adriano Giacomet Higa de Aguiar.

Hervelter de Mattos holds a degree in Diplomacy from the Rio Branco Institute in Brazil. Since 1989, he has served as a diplomat in Brazil’s embassies in Morocco, Singapore, Indonesia, the Czech Republic, El Salvador, Dominica, Sweden, and Venezuela and is the deputy consul general of the Consulate General of Brazil in Hong Kong. He has a wealth of experience in international relations and diplomatic affairs.
