On January 6, Caroline Fleury, a Secretary of Surrounding Affairs for the Federal District of Goias State, hosted a strategic meeting between the Goiás Secretariats of Economy and Industry and Commerce and the Águas Lindas Development Company (Codeal). The meeting was dedicated to aligning fiscal policies, such as tax incentives, technical training provision, logistical support and other measures to make the project of ITEC - Canal Expresso Brasil-China to be viable, which will be installed in Águas Lindas de Goiás later this semester.

Caroline Fleury said that this grand project is transversal, and the relevant institutions are joining forces with various technical sectors of the Goiás government to ensure its success. 

The ITEC will become a strategic hub for negotiations, trade and cultural exchanges between Brazil and China, strengthening the Goiás' role as a development center in the Metropolitan Region surrounding the Federal District.
