Based on data compiled by the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (Abiec) and the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC) of Brazil, Brazilian beef exports reached 2.89 million tons in 2024, representing an increase of 26% and marking the sector's highest historical record.
The Chinese mainland remained the main destination for Brazilian beef in 2024, with imports of 1.33 million tons and revenues of US$ 6 billion.
The president of Abiec, Roberto Perosa, said it was a historic year for the Brazilian beef industry, the livestock sector and Brazil. He believed that Brazilian beef could break export and turnover records in 2025.
