On December 12, the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (Faesp) of Brazil received a delegation of nine researchers and professors from the National Agricultural Technology Service Center of the CAU-China Agricultural University in Beijing. The meeting, which was brokered by the special advisor to the president of the Faesp, Carlos Eduardo Cerri, had a presentation with focus on irrigated agriculture in Brazil.
The use of central pivot sprinkler system as the predominant irrigation system in Brazil, especially for grains, and the standard for sustainable management and obtaining permits caught the attention of the Chinese delegation.
Tirso Meirelles, the president of the Faesp, said that the exchange of experiences with Chinese researchers is strategic. This type of events strengthen international cooperation and open doors to new commercial and technological agreements.
