5 Mozambican students participate in Huawei's LEAP Study Camp in China. Huawei, one of the world's largest providers of ICT infrastructure and smart devices, has been working with several Mozambican universities since 2016 on this global social and corporate responsibility program to help local ICT professionals and students bridge the gap between theory and practice and acquire ICT sector-oriented skills.
In this LEAP Study Camp, 125 students from 17 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, such as Mozambique, Angola, etc., visit Huawei's headquarters, take part in the “Tech4Good” training and will give a group presentation for the competition.
This year in Mozambique, in the Tech For Good Program (T4G), students were challenged to use the knowledge acquired in the lessons of the Seeds For The Future Program to develop solutions to real problems affecting society. A student from Mozambique's Higher School of Nautical Sciences who participated in the training, Letícia Magaia, said that this training helped to cultivate divergent thinking, learn how to adapt quickly environment and also new technologies.
