On November 19, Brazil and China signed agreements in the space segment involving the Chinese company SpaceSail and the Chinese National Data Administration.

The agreement between Telebrás and SpaceSail deal with cooperation on exchange of information on demand and future market analysis. SpaceSail is developing a high-speed internet service in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) whose use by Brazil was the subject of discussion between the two countries last month in a mission by the Brazilian Ministry of Communications. Smart cities and connectivity in remote areas are the subject of conversations.

The agreement with the National Data Administration of China is more generic, with the exchange of information and coordinated actions being of interest to the Brazilian government.
