From September 7, the Federation of Industries of Santa Catarina (FIESC) will lead a delegation to China, focusing on realizing the infrastructure of the Chinese ports and also visiting the first phase of the 136th Canton Fair, the world's largest multi-sector trade fair.

On the agenda are visits by President Mario Cezar de Aguiar to the ports of Shanghai, Yantian and Hong Kong, to learn about the terminals' strategies for decarbonization and digital transformation.

Aguiar said that China is the main exporter for Santa Catarina. In order to be competitive, it is essential to understand how initiatives to reduce emissions and the digital transformation of the port terminals from which goods depart impact foreign trade operations.
