The Eduardo Mondlane University and Zhejiang Normal University, in the People's Republic of China, are discussing the possibility of setting up a joint China-Mozambique International Laboratory. This initiative aims to establish a solid basis for the collaboration between the two countries in areas such as intelligent agriculture and technological innovation.

On September 23, the two institutions met in Maputo for the 13th Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Confucius Institute, to assess the development of the Confucius Institute and discuss collaboration at various levels, including scientific research, professional training and cultural exchange.

The Rector of UEM highlighted the role of the Confucius Institute, seen as a key platform in the cooperation between UEM and Zhejiang Normal University. He hoped that the establishment of this laboratory would promote joint development in the field of science and technology between the two universities, serving as a significant bridge for innovation between Mozambique and China.
