Brazil and China sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Single Window Cooperation of International Trade

On September 25, the integration between the Single Foreign Trade Portal and its Chinese counterpart, to make mutual foreign trade operations more agile, economical and secure, was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed by the governments of Brazil and China in Brasilia. 


The Memorandum for Cooperation on Single Windows for Foreign Trade provides for the search for solutions so that the two systems are interoperable. The main objectives are to reformulate export and import processes, making them more efficient and integrated, and to create a platform to centralize interaction between the government and private operators. 


On the Brazilian side, the Foreign Trade Secretary of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (Secex-MDIC), Tatiana Prazeres, and the Special Secretary of the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, Robinson Barreirinhas, signed the memorandum. On the Chinese side, the Vice-Minister of General Administration of Customs, Zhao Zenglian, signed.
