On September 20, the Mayor of Benavente in Portugal, Carlos Coutinho, received the Chinese group led by Chen Ming, President of the Assembly of Zhejiang Province, in the district of Quintian, and made up of politicians and businesspeople, in the noble hall of the Town Hall.   

The Mayor gathered contacts and discussed the possibility of immediate collaboration so that some portuguese companies could take part in events of entrepreneurship organized in Zhejiang Province, in a wide range of areas.

Currently, this Chinese group was visiting Portugal and came to Benavente with the aim of strengthening business and cultural ties. The visit underlines the growing interest of China, an emerging economy, in the opportunities that Portugal offers to companies from the Asian country.
