The Chinese company Haiyu Mozambique Mining invested 4.6 million meticais for social responsibility in Angoche, Nampula province.
According to information released by Integrity-Mozambique on July 24, the amount will be applied to the construction and equipping of a cooperative that will specifically benefit the towns of Cerema and Sangane, in the district of Angoche.
The project will be accompanied by the allocation of fish conservation material, with emphasis on freezers, scales, fishing nets and agricultural inputs.
During the award ceremony, the Angoche administrator encouraged the company Haiyu Mining to pursue more social responsibility actions, while the beneficiaries made rational use of the equipment with a view to valuing the investment.
