Fórum Oceano and the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerca & Industry have signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of strengthening the Chamber of Commerce's experience and knowledge of the blue economy and, in return, giving Fórum Oceano access to the Chinese market.
It is planned that Fórum Oceano and the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerca & Industry will develop matchmaking sessions involving Portuguese and Chinese companies in order to create business opportunities in Portugal and China.
"Portugal, Mainland China and Macau can work together in areas such as Technology, Tourism, Ports and Shipping, with a view to developing the Blue Economy. Although the latter is generally understood as economic activities related to the marine environment, it has an interdisciplinary nature that involves areas such as Energy, Transport, Maritime Transport, Biotechnology, Health, Climate and Port solutions, Tourism and Defence, among others," said the secretary-general of the Ocean Forum, Ruben Eiras.
