A network established by the Macao-based Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Food Products Exhibition Centre has a presence in 12 Mainland cities, the Jornal Tribuna de Macau reports.

The newspaper reports Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Centre (IPIM) President Jackson Chang as saying food from the Portuguese-speaking Countries is being marketed as an extension of the centre’s work to promote new business.

He spoke at a ceremony on Friday to celebrate the centre’s first anniversary, an innovation by IPIM. During its first year, more than 1,000 food and beverage items from Portuguese-speaking Countries were presented, he said.

The report says the centre has worked with the Economic and Trade Co-operation and Human Resources Portal Between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
