Portugal wants to develop business and co-operation opportunities with Macao in the field of environment, Jornal de Tribuna de Macau reports.
The newspaper quotes Portugal’s Secretary of State for the Environment, Carlos Martins, who is in Macao to take part in the 2017 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (MIECF), which ends tomorrow.
The report says there is “a great will” to use Portuguese know-how to build partnerships with Macao. Mr Martins said Macao offers opportunities and Portugal could be “a good partner for Chinese companies” because of its success in the environmental sector.
