The Association for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Macau — China and Portuguese Speaking Countries (AEIMCP) signed a two-year memorandum of understanding with the Government of Cabo Verde on the 7th of June.
The document, signed by the director of Cabo Verde Digital, Milton Cabral, and the president of AEIMCP, Marco Duarte Rizzolio, constitutes the basis for the West African country to serve as a gateway for entrepreneurs in the Greater Bay Area of the African continent, while Macao positions itself as a gateway to China for entrepreneurs based in Cabo Verde.
With this partnership, Cabo Verde Digital will have privileged access to the 929 Challenge, particularly in the final phase scheduled for October in Macao.
The signing of this partnership is of great significance as it has the potential to stimulate Cabo Verde’s economic development, particularly in the digital technology innovation sectors, highlighted Nuno Furtado, the representative of Cabo Verde to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.
