The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Guinea-Bissau, Yang Renhuo, announced that China is willing to continue supporting the development of Guinea-Bissau in the best possible way.

The Chinese ambassador said that the construction of the Bissau-Safim highway built by the Chinese government is an important project in bilateral cooperation between China and Guinea-Bissau, being the best high-quality highway under construction in the country, and also another testimony to Sino-Guinean friendship. The project started in January 2021 and will be completed and handed over in the near future. The project is expected to play a positive role in Guinea-Bissau's economic and social development and in improving the well-being of the local population. 

The Chinese ambassador revealed that, according to the consensus reached by the two heads of state, the Chinese government will help Guinea-Bissau rehabilitate urban roads, including the roads in Bissau, and further improve the transportation conditions of Guinea-Bissau in the future.
