6th Meeting of the Forum Macao China Follow-up Action Committee held in Beijing

The 6th Meeting of the Forum Macao China Follow-up Action Committee, chaired by the Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), Li Yongsha, was held in Beijing on 3 December with the aim of studying and promoting the implementation of the results of the 6th Ministerial Conference of Forum Macao. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Secretariat for Economy and Finance of the Macao Special Administrative Region and around 30 departments of the Chinese Mainland. The Ministry of Commerce presented the initiatives for implementing the results of the 6th Ministerial Conference of Forum Macao, as well as the general situation of the work carried out, and the participating parties exchanged information on the progress of work in the relevant areas.


The meeting emphasised that the implementation of the results of the 6th Ministerial Conference of Forum Macao is a step towards in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, especially General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thesis on building a community with a shared future for mankind, which is of great importance for deepening cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, for better building Macau as the service platform for trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, and for helping to achieve the successful practice of ‘one country, two systems’ with Macau's characteristics.


The meeting also defined clear requirements for implementing the results of the 6th Ministerial Conference of Forum Macao.
