Dr. International Airport António Agostinho Neto (AIAAN), located 40 kilometers southeast of the center of Luanda, capital of Angola, completed its first passenger arrival and departure flights on November 10, officially marking the beginning of passenger transport operations.


AIAAN was built by the China National Aero-technology International Engineering Corporation (CAIEC) and has a projected capacity for 15 million passengers per year and 130 thousand tons of postal cargo, and is expected to become an important aviation hub in the southern region of Africa. after full operation.


During the interview with Xinhua, the Angolan Transport Minister assessed cooperation with China as "very positive". "China represents a very relevant partnership for Angola, as, with this relationship, we were able to create and build important infrastructure in our country, including the Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport," he said.
