Brazil and China discuss partnership in digital economy and innovation

In order to promote the digital economy and expand the partnership between Brazil and China, the Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos, received the administrator of China's National Data Administration, Liu Liehong, on November 8 in Brasilia. 


During the conversation, they reinforced the expansion of the partnership in strategic areas with the Chinese government and industry associations in the sector to foster scientific, technological and innovation cooperation in key areas such as semiconductors, GPUs, CPUs, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure.


The Chinese administrator said that China was interested in working with the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and making new memoranda. This representative from China is in Brazil in dialog with various ministries to build public policies between the two countries. His visit is in preparation for the President Xi Jinping's visit to Brazil in November.
