Leapmotor has just registered the C10, an SUV that can be both electric and plug-in hybrid, with the INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property). With a footprint of low-cost vehicles, the automaker already operates in this way in China and is starting its plans in Europe. The registration of the model is the first step towards the automaker actually demonstrating its intention to operate in the Brazilian market.

Another indication that helps confirm this thesis is the fact that Leapmotor has a partnership with the Stellantis group, which already operates here with Fiat, Jeep, Ram, Peugeot and Citröen. The conglomerate and the Chinese manufacturer have set up a joint venture called Leapmotor International to export Chinese cars. To this end, Stellantis bought 20% of the Chinese brand.

The SUV is already sold in China in three electric configurations, ranging from R$89,012 to R$188,345, as well as four other versions with plug-in hybrid motorization, costing between R$95,143 and R$116,398.
