China's ambassador to Angola, Zhang Bin, said on April 30, after an audience with the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, that his country is promoting new major strategic projects with Angola, as well as speeding up economic relations with the implementation, as soon as possible, of the Caculo-Cabaça hydroelectric project and the new Caio Deep Water Port, in Cabinda province.

Zhang Bin, who was accredited to the country in February this year, stressed that the major projects underway, which he considers to be successful, represent the fruits of the strengthening of relations between China and Angola.

According to the ambassador, there are many Chinese companies with a great interest in investing in Angola, and he promised that the embassy would help to make these investments a reality.
