Metro vehicles manufactured by CRRC Tangshan Co. were tested in Porto, Portugal, on the 13th of November, marking the first test of its kind in the European Union. The meters are also the first to be exported from China to the EU, according to the vehicle manufacturer.

According to the company, its carriages were tested on Line C of the Porto Metro, in a mixed operation with the existing passenger meters on the line. The test route passed through the busiest areas of the metro network as well as the largest transfer station in Porto - Trindade Station.

Before the test, preparatory work was carried out with the joint effort of CRRC Tangshan Co. and Metro do Porto, including vehicle coupling and debugging, driver training and endurance testing.
