Portugal’s unemployment rate rose in November to 13.9 percent from 13.6 percent in October, figures released on Tuesday by the Portuguese National Institute of Statistics (INE) revealed.

The joblessness rate has now risen for two consecutive months, after several months of decline.

The unemployment rate was at 15.4 percent in November 2013.

There were 713,700 unemployed people in November, 17,400 more than in October, INE said.
