Beijing will boost its support of Mozambique’s youth by offering more scholarships to study in Chinese universities, the Government-run news agency Xinhua reports.
Ambassador Su Jian said Mainland China would also donate US$58,000 to education in Mozambique.
There are about 500 Mozambicans studying in the Mainland and more than 100 students graduated with either a bachelor or master’s degree from a Chinese institution last year.
Mr Su says Chinese businesses have sought to hire staff that have studied in China.
