A Mainland medical team has arrived in São Tomé and Príncipe to deliver health care services, the Macauhub website reports.
The team leader was quoted as saying it was “the first Chinese medical mission to come out of a bilateral agreement in the health sector” following December’s restoration of diplomatic ties.
The team is based at the Hospital Ayres de Menezes in the capital, São Tomé, but will move elsewhere throughout the country over the next six months.
The team includes specialists in cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, general surgery, as well as some nursing staff.
