Brazil imported 17.8 GW of PV modules in 2022, enabling investments of more than BRL 64 billion, according to a report published by Brazilian consultancy Greener. The amount is 73% higher than that recorded in 2021, when 10.3 GW were imported.

Jinko Solar was the main supplier of modules for the Brazilian market last year. Greener estimates that the manufacturer has shipped 3,065 MW of modules to Brazil in 2022. Other main suppliers follow Canadian Solar (2,340 MW), Longi (1,830 MW), Trina Solar (1,802 MW), Risen Energy (1,480 MW) and JA Solar (1,101 MW).

In all, the study identified 71 brands of modules supplied to the Brazilian market in 2022 and the 10 with the highest volume of deliveries concentrated 81% of the market.

In 2022, Brazil connected almost 10 GW of photovoltaic plants, both in a distributed and centralized generation.
