The Mayor of Braga, Ricardo Rio, received last week a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs led by the Ambassador of China in Portugal, Zhao Bantang. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Portugal – China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bank of China, chinese construction, renewable energy and technology companies.

Ricardo Rio said that relations between Braga and China “are quite strong and we intend to strengthen this economic and cultural connection between the two peoples. We have several companies that do business with China”.

The Braga mayor also recalled the twinning that Braga has with Shenyang, in Northeast China. In addition, the strong connection to Macau brings the two peoples even closer together and this visit also serves to strengthen this connection, said Ricardo Rio.
