A delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), led by Deputy Secretaries-General Mr Ding Tian and Mr Rodrigo Brum, visited Wuhan and Yichang, in Hubei Province, from May 19 to 23.

On May 13, two Deputy Secretaries-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Mr Ding Tian and Mr Rodrigo Brum, took part in the third edition of the Portuguese Language and Culture Day of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries. The day was held in Beijing by the embassies to China of Portuguese-speaking Countries.

A Forum Macao delegation travelled to Guangzhou on May 8 and 9 to take part in an edition of the “Dynamic Macao Business and Trade Fair” held in that city. The event in Guangzhou included a Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Pavilion.

The closing ceremony and certificate presentation ceremony of the “Workshop on Tourism and the MICE Industry for Portuguese-speaking Countries” programme, organised by Forum Macao’s Training Centre, in collaboration with the City University of Macau, were held in the Grand Ballroom at MGM Macau on May 6.

The Secretary-General of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Ms Xu Yingzhen, and Deputy Secretary-General Mr Rodrigo Brum, joined on May 1 a reception, organised by the Consulate General of Portugal in Macao

Deputy Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao Mr Ding Tian headed a working group as part of a delegation to São Tomé and Príncipe, Cabo Verde and Portugal from April 16 to 27. The delegation was led by the Director General of the Department of Taiwan

The representative in Macao of AICEP Portugal Global – Trade & Investment Agency, Ms Carolina Lousinha, visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao on April 29. Ms Lousinha had a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ms Xu Yingzhen, and the Deputy Secretary-General, Mr Rodrigo Brum.

The Presentation on Tourism Products from the Portuguese-speaking Countries, organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), took place at 3pm on April 26 at the Venetian Macao’s Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Presentation on Tourism Products from the Portuguese-speaking Countries, organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office and the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), will take place from 3pm to 5.30pm on April 26 in the multifunctional room at the Venetian Macao’s Convention and Exhibition Centre Hall E. The activity aims at promoting tourism cooperation between Mainland China

On April 18, the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) participated in a meeting between representatives from Hunan and high-profile trade-sector representatives from Macao, as part of the 2019 Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Investment and Trade Conference.

A delegation from the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) visited Guangzhou on April 14 and 15, to take part in the 125th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair).

The President of the Cabo Verde-China Friendship Association, Mr José Correia, made a visit on April 12 to the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao). He was accompanied by the country’s Representative in Forum Macao, Mr Nuno Furtado.
