Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao supports the 10th session of Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19 ‘Cooperation Against Covid-19 Using Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine’ (Chongqing Special Session)

The tenth session of the series of Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19, titled “Cooperation Against Covid-19 Using Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine”, will take place on August 18 at 8pm Beijing time (9am in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). The session will discuss, among other topics: prevention and epidemic control measures in Chongqing Municipality; international cooperation in combating Covid-19; prevention and treatment associated with the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine on patients infected with Covid-19; experiences from Brazil in the fight against the pandemic; and a brief introduction to the culture of Traditional Chinese Medicine.


The Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao is supporting this event and encourages representatives of governments and other institutions from the Portuguese-speaking Countries to take part in it.


The online seminar will be chaired by Mr Tang Wen, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, and it will feature invited speakers. They include: Mr Zhou Lin, Deputy Director of Chongqing Municipal Health Commission; Mr Arnaldo Goldenberg, Public Defender of Special Class and Special Advisor to the Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Ms Tereza Cristina Paim, Sub-Secretary of Health of the State of Bahia, Brazil; Dr. Li Quntang, Chief Practitioner of Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital; Dr. Tang Jun, Chief Practitioner of Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital; Prof. Rogério Rufino, Professor of the Department of Pulmonology and Tisiology at Faculty of Medical Sciences in Rio de Janeiro State University, Brazil; Prof. Hong Lei, Professor at Chongqing Medical University; Ms Qing Yuling, President of Chongqing Taiji Academy of Medicine.


The webinar session will be delivered in videoconference format, with live online streaming to international audiences via YouTube; and live online streaming to Mainland China audiences via Kuaishou. Interested parties can scan a QR code featured on a promotional poster in order to watch live streaming of the session.
