A music and dance gala – part of the of 11th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries – was held on October 17 at Rossio Square at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf.

A delegation from the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao visited Guangzhou in Mainland China on October 14 and 15 to take part in the 126th China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair. The participation in the event was in order to promote Macao’s role in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area) under the terms of Macao’s strategic positioning known as “One Centre, One Platform and One Base”.

A Showcase of Theatre from Portuguese-speaking Countries and Regions – part of the 11th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries – is taking place at the Black Box Theatre in the Old Court Building in Macao from October 22 to 27.

The 11th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries is organised by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries.

The Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries is an event held annually in Macao. Its 11th edition officially started on October 12 and features a number of music and dance performances.

The Handicraft Fair of the 11th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries will be held from October 12 to 18 at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf.

Visual arts exhibitions – part of the programme of the 11th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries – are taking place from October 12 to November 9. The Cultural Week is hosted by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.

The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Forum Macao) held on October 11 a lunch specially to promote the upcoming Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Food Festival.

The Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ms Xu Yingzhen, met on September 26 with the Health Minister of São Tomé and Príncipe, Mr Edgar Neves. The meeting followed Mr Neves’ participation in the 2019 Traditional Medicine International Cooperation Forum (Macao, China).

The closing and certificate award ceremony of the Seminar on Traditional Medicine Cooperation for Participants from Portuguese-speaking Countries was held on September 27. The seminar was organised by the Training Centre of Forum Macao in cooperation with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao.

The Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, Ms Xu Yingzhen, met on September 26 with the Secretary of State for Public Health of Angola, Mr José Manuel Vieira Dias da Cunha. The meeting followed Mr Cunha’s participation in the 2019 Traditional Medicine International Cooperation Forum (Macao, China).
