Who is the organiser?
The 11th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries is organised by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries. In addition to promoting the culture and art available in the Portuguese-speaking Countries’, the event also features a Portuguese-speaking Countries’ food festival.

Where is it taking place?
The Portuguese-speaking Countries’ food festival is being held from October 12 to 18 at the FW Rio Grill & Capriccio Italian Restaurant in Macau Fisherman’s Wharf. It includes a buffet featuring gastronomic specialties from a number of Portuguese-speaking Countries and regions, sure to amaze foodies. All are invited to come and try these unique flavours, while enjoying the exhibitions and the handicraft fair of the 11th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, also at the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf.

Why is it special?
Five famous chefs coming from within the Portuguese-speaking Countries and regions – respectively from Angola, Brazil, São Tomé and Príncipe, Timor-Leste and Macao – will present unique gastronomic specialties at the event. Highlights include: Angola’s fish ‘calulu’; Brazil’s seafood on a shell; São Tomé e Príncipe-style octopus; Timor-Leste’s potato roll; and Macao’s roast lamb leg. A number of soups and desserts are also on offer.
