Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao to take part in 6th session of Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19: ‘Financial cooperation to fight against Covid-19’

The sixth session of the Webinars on International Cooperation Against Covid-19 will be held on July 21, at 8pm Beijing time (9am Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, time). The fifth session of the Webinars took place on July 14.


The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) takes part in the series of Webinars as a supporting entity, with the aim of promoting the participation of relevant organisations respectively from the Portuguese-speaking Countries and the Macao SAR.


The sixth session of the Webinars series is titled “Financial cooperation to fight against Covid-19”. It focuses on topics such as: financial cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries to tackle the pandemic; sharing of information on Covid-19 prevention measures implemented by the financial services sector; and promotion of international cooperation in fighting against the pandemic.


Invited speakers include: Mr Cassio Von Gal, Director of Banco BOCOM BBM; Mr Liu Yanchao, Chief Representative of the Rio de Janeiro Office of the China Development Bank; Mr Juliano Alves Pinto, Undersecretary for Investment and Value Chain Promotion at the State Government of Minas Gerais; Mr Vong Lap Fong, Member of the Board of Directors of the Monetary Authority of Macao; Mr Sérgio Gusmão Suchodolski, President of the Development Bank of Minas Gerais (in his capacity as Vice President of the Brazilian Association of Development Banks); Mr Thiago Toscano, President of the Investment and Trade Promotion Agency of Minas Gerais; Mr Cai Chunyan, Deputy General Manager of the Bank of China Macau Branch; Mr Luca Belli, scholar at the Fundação Getulio Vargas Law School; and Mr Thomas Law, President of the Brazil-China Sociocultural Institute (Ibrachina).


The seminar will be delivered in videoconference format, with live online streaming to international audiences via YouTube; and live online streaming to Mainland China audiences via Kuaishou.
