Secretary of State at Angola’s Ministry of External Relations visits Permanent Secretariat

On 6 October, Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), warmly welcomed a delegation led by Ambassador José Paulino Cunha da Silva, Angola’s Secretary of State at the Ministry of External Relations.

 

During the meeting, Secretary-General Ji gave a brief presentation on the Forum’s operations and the Permanent Secretariat’s main work for 2026. The State Secretary said that the Forum is a strategic mechanism for co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, with a positive impact on the well-being of the countries involved and their populations. He praised the outstanding work of the Permanent Secretariat’s members, reaffirmed Angola’s commitment to remaining an active and loyal partner of the Forum, and outlined Angola’s specific views on the next phase of implementing the Action Plan for Economic and Trade Co-operation.
