Mr Rodrigo Manuel Ferreira Brum officially took office – on September 1 – as the new Deputy Secretary-General, representing the Portuguese-speaking Countries, of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao).

Mr Brum, a Portuguese national, worked in Macao in the 1990s. He subsequently held several private-sector management positions.
