New representatives to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao begin new role

The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, informs that new representatives from Cape Verde and from São Tomé and Príncipe took office on August 1, 2017.


The Government of Cape Verde appointed Mr Nuno Miguel Melo Furtado (pictured left) as the new representative from Cape Verde to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. Mr Melo Furtado previously served as diplomatic advisor to the President of the National Assembly of Cape Verde.


The Government of São Tomé and Príncipe appointed Mr Gualter Sousa Pontes da Vera Cruz (pictured right) as the new representative from São Tomé and Príncipe to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. Mr Vera Cruz previously served as an advisor to the country’s Minister of Finance, Commerce and the Blue Economy.
