The 5th Meeting of High-Level Officials of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, was held in Macao, on October 7.

A delegation from China, led by the Director-General of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce of China, Mr Sun Tong, attended the Meeting. Attending the Meeting were also the Ambassadors and Diplomats of Portuguese-speaking Countries in Beijing, and the Focal Points of the Portuguese-speaking Countries at Forum Macao.

In addition, representatives of the Macao SAR, namely the Chief-of-Office of the Office of the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Ms Lok Kit Sim, and members of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao took part in the Meeting.

The Meeting – chaired by the Secretary-General of Forum Macao, Ms Xu Yingzhen – focused on the measures and topics to be discussed at the ministerial conference, including the Action Plan to be signed at the 5th Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
