Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao promotes development of tourism industry in China, Portuguese-speaking Countries

The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, attended on September 2 the opening ceremony of the 4th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo.


The Permanent Secretariat has set up the “Portuguese-speaking Countries’ Pavilion” at the venue of the 4th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo.


Displays at the Pavilion include traditional products from Portuguese-speaking Countries, with accompanying written explanations, photographs and videos. The Pavilion also helps to promote these countries’ business and investment environments. Bilingual staff was assigned to help with interpretation and translation at the Pavilion during the meetings between entrepreneurs and Representatives of Portuguese-speaking Countries.


The participation in the 4th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo aimed to promote co-operation in the tourism industry between Mainland China, Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries. It also contributed to promoting more fully Macao’s role as a Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries.
